Panasonic have worked hard to improve the sound quality of their latest flat screen TVs. Although still not a match for a soundbar or separate home cinema system the sound quality is excellent by TV standards. Freetime lets you effortlessly scroll back through the TV listings and watch programmes from major catch-up services such as the BBC iPlayer ITV Player 4oD and Demand 5 without having to open specific applications (requires Broadband Internet connection - Channel 4 4oD and Channel 5 Demand 5 due October 2014). In addition to this twin tuners allow you to watch one channel whilst recording another via a USB connected hard drive. Both Freeview HD and satellite freesat HD tuners are included for complete flexibility.
Effortless Operation with MyStream Info Bar Touchpad and Voice Guidance
Although extremely well-equipped controlling the TX47AS802b is easier than ever. My Stream learns the type of programmes and content you enjoy from multiple sources and then makes personalised recommendations just for you! When in standby mode Info Bar uses a proximity sensor with face recognition to automatically display an information panel showing handy information such as the weather time and any messages when you walk past. The touchpad remote makes navigating through apps and web pages as simple as using a smartphone or tablet. Taking this one stage further simply saying a keyword into the controller brings up search results. The results are both shown on screen and voiced by the TV itself.
Built-in camera plus swipe and share plus My Home Screen
This top-end Panasonic TV also features a built-in camera. This allows you to take advantage of the communication sensation Skype letting you catch up with friends and family on the big screen! Also standard is Swipe and Share and My Home Screen functionality. Swipe and share lets you use the Panasonic VIERA 2 app for smartphone media sharing.
